• Automotive Technology I

    Description

    This automotive training program instruction covers basic knowledge in brakes, suspension and steering, engine performance and electricity/electronics. Course content includes instruction in safety, industry standards, related automobile operational theory, diagnosis and troubleshooting, and repair procedures.

    • Automotive parts, carburetion, front-end alignment
    • Major engine tune-up and performance
    • The function of fuel systems, brakes, engine overhaul and electronic repairs
    • Troubleshooting, analysis and shop practices

    Credits

    This course participates in an articulation with Chabot College.
    Meets 3rd year Math academic requirement for San Lorenzo Unified School District.
    State Department of Education Recognized Model Program.

    Eligibility

    High School juniors, seniors, and adults

    Requirements

    Adults must attend a R.O.P. orientation prior to registration

    Hours

    3 hours (daily)
    8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
    or 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
