This class prepares students for a career in network administration and information technology support services with a focus on cybersecurity. This hands-on course covers the fundamentals of computer hardware and software and advanced concepts such as security, networking, and the responsibilities of an IT professional. Topics include:

    Cybersecurity I P

    • Mobile operating systems
    • US X
    • Linux
    • Client-side virtualization

    Cybersecurity II P

    • Architecture structure, functions, components, and models of Internet/other computer networks
    • Principles and structure of IP addressing
    • Fundamentals of Ethernet concepts
    • Media

    Curriculum content is designed to prepare students for careers in Cybersecurity and Information and Communications Technology.

    Articulations/Dual Enrollment

    This course participate in an articulation with Chabot College.


    High school juniors and seniors only.


    3 hours (daily)
    8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
    or 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.


    No cost for high school students.
