Cybersecurity
FIRST YEAR STUDENTS:
Cybersecurity I P introduces students to careers in network administration and information technology support services with a focus on cybersecurity. Students will receive hands-on experience that covers the fundamentals of computer hardware and software, and advanced concepts such as security, networking, and the responsibilities of an IT professional.
Selection of skills and knowledge learned throughout the course:
- Troubleshooting
- Customer service
- Networking
- Operating systems
- System administration
- Security
SECOND YEAR STUDENTS:
Cybersecurity II P builds on the technical skills and knowledge students acquired in Cybersecurity I.
Students will be prepared for post-secondary information technology majors and for careers in network administration and information technology support services with a focus on cybersecurity.

- Architecture
- Structure
- Functions
- Components
- Models of the Internet
- Computer networks
- Principles and structure of IP addressing
- Fundamentals of ethernet concept
Curriculum content is designed to prepare students for careers in Cybersecurity and Information and Communications Technology.
CERTIFICATIONS AVAILABLE
* STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS TO RECEIVE THE FOLLOW CERTIFICATIONS.

HIGH SCHOOL CREDITS
- Students receive a total of 30 elective credits
- SLZUSD students may receive a Math Credit (Must speak with school counselor)
